Piggly Wiggly Woo

I had to tell you this funny story that just happened yesterday. Me and my dad were in the kitchen and Wiggles came in and started sniffing his food bowl, which was empty. (We had already fed them breakfast. We don't leave food just sitting out for them, because my little-or big-Caluba will eat all day long.) Then he went over to Tyler's bowl which was also empty, because Wiggles had pushed Tyler out of the way and ate his food too. It was so funny, because my dad said, "Well aren't you a Piggly Wiggly." You know like the old store called Piggly Wiggly. Well you know how one of Wiggles nicknames in Wiggly Woo. I called him Piggly Wiggly Woo. Then my mom came out and I told her. Maybe it is just, because my family and I love to laugh or maybe it really was that funny, but we just laughed and laughed and laughed about that. Hope this made you smile on this happy Thanksgiving.

PS: Do I have to tell you to leave a comment or email me funny stories about your pets??? I didn't think so. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

How Did You Get Your Cat?

Hello everyone. I want to know how you got your pet. Perhaps you went to the pet store not expecting to buy anymore pets or-if you didn't have any pets at all-you didn't think you would be getting one, but you did. Maybe you found your pet on the street and rescued it. If you don't have a pet tell me how you would like to find your pet. Maybe the pet picked you from the very beginning...after all thats how I got my two cats.

Tyler: I got Tyler for my fifth birthday. My parents suprised me one day by telling me that we were going to go pick up a kitten in an hour. I don't remember if a cat was my favorite animal, but if it wasn't already it quickly became so. My Grandma who lived with us at the time had found an article in the newspaper that read: "Two Adorable Gray Kittens." When we got to the home of the people that were selling them, there was only one adorable gray kitten left...and that was our Tyler. My mom was looking around for the kitten and didn't notice a girl plop him into my arms. The little kitten wasn't scared at all, on the contrary, he started to purr and almost went to sleep. I looked up at my mom and smiled she smile back and said, "He's the one". Of course we took him home and he quickly became one of the family.
Wiggles: Wiggles was a little different...okay a lot different. We'd had Tyler for six years. I had given up trying to talk my dad into getting another one, even though I had never given up wanting another one. One night my parents and I went on a family walk and as we were walking by this one house (that my mom had always loved the mailbox of) we saw this lady holding three kittens in her arms. We stopped to look at them and the lady just gave each one of us one of the kittens to hold. The one my mom held kept wanting another lady that was standing next to the lady with the cats, the one my dad held, was kindof skittish, but the one I held just looked at me and then would look around a little, but turn back to me. We found out that they were born at a farm in Northern California. And had been brought down here, were a relative of the family who had the farm, was looking for homes for the kittens. I didn't even think about asking my dad if we could take one home. I knew-at least I thought I knew-that he would say no. Then my dad said we'd go home and think about getting one. Think, doesn't always mean yes with my dad, so I didn't get my hopes up...much. After we started walking again my dad said, "I think we should get one of those kittens. Tyler is getting a little fat and it would be good for him to have some excercise. A little kitten just might do the trick." My mom and I were shocked. The next morning my mom called the lady and arranged that the next day we could come over and pick which one we wanted. I went to a friends house that day and told her family all about what had happend. The next day my mom and I went over to the lady's house. The lady opened up the garage door and out came the three kittens. Two of the cats went zooming towards a bowl of milk that had been placed on the driveway, the other however went zooming right over to ME! I recognized him as the kitten I had held two nights ago. He had remembered me. I looked up at my mom, just like I had done when we got Tyler, she smiled and said, "He's the one." He has been my little Caluba ever since.

Seeing-eye cat?

I just read a story in a magazine about a cat and a dog. Now you've all heard of a seeing-eye dog, but have you ever heard of a seeing-eye cat? Neither had I, until now.

There was a family who had a dog and a cat. Well, the dog lost his eyesight, so their cat, would lead the dog around, by nudging his his shoulder. This cat would take the dog to his food and water, he would lead him outside and would even follow him when he went on walks with his owner.

Now if there are any non-catlovers reading this, you've got to admit, that cats are sweet, special, and SMART. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the dogs have to be trained to be seeing eye dogs? Yes they do. Did this cat get trained? No he didn't.

I do love doggies to though, so I must allow that the seeing-eye dogs do a lot more than just nudge people around and are very smart as well.

I just wanted to share that story with you. I hope it touches your heart.

Please email me any sweet stories about cats, that you know.

Mostly A's

You are a Ocicat

The Ocicat is both playful and devoted. She may spring into action on a whim at any moment, or languidly pass an hour away in the lap of a loved one. The Ocicat is happiest with friends and struggles at being solitary for any period of time. Her exotic, no-fuss coat is a breeze to maintain, and looking her best comes easily. Inquisitive by nature, she gets into trouble from time to time. But any trouble is soon forgotten because she is off on a new adventure in a flash!

Mostly B's

You are a Burmese

The Burmese is a pint-sized powerhouse. Relentlessly able to keep her eye on the ball, she always gets what she wants; whether it is a lap to sit in, a toy to play with or the serving of a meal. Caring and lovable, the Burmese regularly seeks out affection and is content to cuddle with loved ones for hours at a time. Her coat is thick and glossy, and she is fastidious about keeping it in tip-top shape. Always ready to play, this attention-grabber never gets passed by!

Mostly C's

You are a Norwegian Forest Cat

The Norwegian Forest Cat is strong and independent. She is reserved with newcomers but blossoms in the company of old friends. Confidently defending what is hers, she does not like strangers in her territory. Her luxurious coat is a lot to handle, and necessity dictates regular upkeep. An amazing athlete, the Norwegian Forest Cat thrives on physical activity, and no leap is too great or prey too quick for her to tackle. This huntress is clearly queen of her domain!

Mostly D's
You are a Snowshoe

The Snowshoe is gregarious and talkative. She is always ready for fun and will regularly try to instigate a game. While her strong intellect leads her to try new things, it also causes her to become easily bored when a task is mastered. Variety is truly the spice of life for this kitty! Affectionate with others, eager to interact, the Snowshoe is always the belle of the ball.

Mostly E's

You are a Persian

The Persian is a relaxed observer. She quietly takes in the details of her surroundings and is happiest in her role as a spectator. The Persian will gladly accept affection, but does not often seek it out. Her loving and patient nature makes her an ideal housemate while her stress-free nature will allow her to make friends with whoever stops by. The Persian's greatest pastime is grooming her thick, tangle-prone fur, but it's worth the effort, because she always looks fabulous!

I hope you had fun taking this quiz. By the by, email me or leave me a comment about your results. If what you got isn't really your personality, thats okay. This is just for fun. I was the Norwegian Forest Cat.

How Did Your Pet Get It's Name?

Write in and tell me how your cat got its name. Was it something he/she did or is it or is it a name you've always loved.

Tyler got his name, because that was the name I would have been named if I had been a boy and that would have been the name if I had, had a brother.

Wiggles was a little more complicated. When we first got him we started calling him Little Buddy or Buddy for short, because he was Tyler's little buddy. Then he started being so cute and cuddly that we changed his name to Snuggles. Then we saw the way he pounces on things. He lays down and watches it, then he sticks his bottom in the air, wiggles it then pounces. Hence the name Wiggles.

Nicknames

What do you call you cat. And I mean besides his/her name. I mean a nickname. Write in or leave a comment about your cat's nickname(s).

My cats have many nicknames. Each one of my family members has a different nickname
(s) for them.

Tyler: Baby, Sweetie, Tyler Kitty, Buddy, Sweetness, Pretty Boy, Pretty Kitty Cat, Bright Eyes, Baby Caluba.
Wiggles: Caluba*, Caluby, Wiggley Woo, Babies, Buddy, Pretty Boy, Stinker Kitty, Boo, Wiggleness.

*Caluba is a name I made up one day when I got upset with Wiggles. I said, "Wiggles your such a...a...Caluba." In my language Caluba mean stinker, which is what Calu-I mean Wiggles is a lot of the time.

Our vet calls Wiggles, Wiggs. My mom and I think that is, because Wiggles sounds like such a girly name.

Books To Read With Your Cat

There is a book called Three Stories You Can Read to Your Cat. I used to read it to Tyler before we got Wiggles. He would walk around while I was reading it, interrupt me with "questions," and rub my legs. I always laughed at the stories especially The Yummy Bug. Another cute book is Bedtime Stories for Cats and Three More Stories You Can Read to Your Cat. Even if your cat won't sit down long for you to read them to him/her they are still fun to read yourself.

Tip: If you see your cat sleeping start reading the stories softly, like a lullaby. If your cats ears are twitching you will know he/she is listening.

My cats love to read in general. If either my mom or I start reading Tyler will hop onto my mom's lap and Wiggles (<--picture) is usually on the couch by one of our heads listening. If we are reading in another room with the door closed, they will sit by the door and "cry" until we let them in. If you have any books that your cats love to hear, please email me or leave a comment.

Hello Kittie Luvers

Hello Kittie Luvers!

I think (being kittie luvers) we all agree that cats are special, lovable, snooty at times and sometimes downright stubborn animals. They do exactly what they want to do when they want to do it, even if you don't want them to, but for some reason we still love them.

Take my two cats in this picture (left is Tyler 8 yrs. old right is Wiggles 2 yrs old) they jump onto countertops, go in rooms they know are off limits to them and want food just as you are getting comfortable. But then they do something so cute that you can't be mad at them anymore.

Anywho this is a blog where kittie lovers can share their cute and funny stories about cats. Is you cat so smart that he/she could be a great star in a movie, maybe he/she can do math, speak French or sing. Even if your cat isn't a "prodigy" or extremley smart, please leave a comment or even better email me a picture of you cat and a little bit about him/her. Favorite food, toy, funny thing he/she does to get attention. I would love to post the picture and "bio." My email is TiffaniJoi143@gmail.com. Also if you have a quote about kitties (something that you heard, saw, read or made up yourself) please email those to me as well. I can always use some more.

That is all for now. Hope you enjoy this blog.
